For example, we have our main site as sumydesigns.com, but we also have a support site at support.sumydesigns.com.You can do this with\u00a0WordPress Multisite!A WordPress multisite network allows you to set up and manage multiple WordPress sites from one WordPress installation. The Benefits of WordPress MultisiteOne of the main benefits of using a multisite network is that you only need one login to manage all the sites from one Dashboard. As a Super Admin, you can easily switch between several sites, managing and editing, creating new content, without having to login and logout of each site individually. Additionally, each individual site can have it’s own admins that don’t have access to the other sites.Another plus is that you can add plugins and themes and activate them for some or all of your sites all at once, without having to install them individually on each site. And, of course, it also makes managing your software updates much easier, since they are all managed in one Dashboard.Cons of WordPress MultisiteSince the network hosting the sites has to be all on one install, that means you need more resources to successfully run a multisite network. Shared hosting may not be enough, depending on how many sites are in your network and how big they are. You may need to look into VPS hosting.Another con is that if your website gets hacked, there’s a good chance they’ve all been infected. And it’s possible that some plugins may not work on WordPress multisite. How do you set it up?I thought about writing out the steps here for you to set up your own Multi-Site Network, but the WordPress codex has really good instructions. So go ahead over there for more details!WordPress Multi-Site is a great option for the client who wants multiple different sites on the same domain. Need help setting up your multi-site network?
